Trevor MacLaren, MS, PT, C/NDT

Trevor, one of the two owners of Believe Pediatric Physical Therapy, graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. She went on to receive a bachelor's and Master's degree in Physical Therapy in 2001. She has extensive experience in pediatrics, including the home health, early intervention, and intensive suit therapy fields. She is Pediatric NDT Certified, is trained in evaluating and casting for Cascade DAFO orthotics, and is certified in the Therasuit Method. She is trained in Myofascial Release, unweighted treadmill gait training, sensory integration, Total Motion Release, DMI Level 1A, and pilates for children with special needs. Trevor has two children of her own, and is passionate about nutrition, running, reading, family bike rides and hikes, and living out her faith in every area of her life.

Dayna is one of the proud owners of Believe Pediatric Physical Therapy and is especially honored to be able to work with the remarkable children and families that become a part of the Believe family over the years. Dayna graduated with her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Central Florida in 2004, where she was awarded "Physical Therapy Student of the Year" from the Florida Physical Therapy Association for the state of Florida. Dayna has experience in pediatric home health therapy, pediatric outpatient therapy, school-based therapy, and pediatric hippotherapy, as well as extensive experience since 2004 in the pediatric intensive suit therapy field.  Dayna is certified as a Pediatric NDT Therapist in the NDT/Bobath Certificate Course in the Management and Treatment of Children with Cerebral Palsy and Other Neuromotor Disorders.  Dayna is also certified in the Therasuit Method, she is a NARHA certified hippotherapy provider, and she is certified in Yoga for the Special Needs Child.  Dayna has training in Myofascial Release, sensory integration, body-weight supported treadmill gait training, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Cerebral Palsy and Analysis of Gait, DMI Level 1A, and Pilates for children with special needs. Dayna is most passionate about outdoor activities, exercising, nutrition, and especially being with her husband Randy, and two children Tristan and Dylan.

Chris Nicholas, PTA

Chris began his journey with Believe in 2012 as a volunteer. He fell in love with the kids, families, and loving and vibrant atmosphere and hasn’t left since. Chris graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 2010, Master’s Degree from Webster University in 2012, and Physical Therapy Assistant Degree from Herzing University in 2015. Chris has extensive experience in pediatric intensive therapy as well as training in myofascial release, pediatric neuro developmental treatment, kinesiology taping, sensory integration, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, neuromuscular re-activation, UEU, and pediatric psychology. Chris is a member of the Neuro Development Treatment Association and the American Physical Therapy Association and has a passion for the integrating innovative therapeutic techniques into the clinical atmosphere. Chris loves spending time with his daughter Ella, wife Mandie, traveling, and being apart of the amazing transformation of his patients’ lives and functional growth.


Patricia La Rovere, DPT

Patty is originally from Venezuela and moved to the USA to play college tennis in Mars Hill, North Carolina where she graduated with an athletic training degree in 2010. In 2014 she completed her doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL. Patty fell in love with pediatrics after having a side job as a babysitter for a boy with special needs during grad school and even more after completing her pediatric clinical rotation. She has been working in the pediatric field ever since. Patty has completed training in pediatric NDT, Therasuit and Cage, pediatric myofascial release, DMI Level 1A, and kinesio taping. She has been providing intensive physical therapy since 2016 and has also worked in the outpatient pediatric setting as well as in the school therapy system. Patty is very passionate about working with her patients and loves being part of their transformation and learning process. In her free time, Patty enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her husband Steve, and their dogs Wallace and Lulu.
